Robert Cerjanec

FOUNDER & MANAGING PRINCIPAL

Robert Cerjanec is the Founder of School PR Solutions Inc. and has over 15 years of experience managing high-profile issues, campaigns, and communications initiatives.

He is a trusted advisor to senior leaders and has worked in the college and university sectors, as the Chief of Staff to the Deputy Mayor of Toronto, and most recently with a large Ontario school board on the executive and senior teams as the Executive Lead (VP) of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations where he oversaw a team of 25 professionals in the Communications and Public Relations, Board Services, and Research and Strategic Analytics departments.

Whether it is directing the communications response after a large-scale cyber incident, leading the public and government relations efforts to help secure the approval of new schools, or bringing together diverse stakeholders around a common vision, Robert always makes a positive impact and delivers results. He now does the same for his clients in the education space.

A lifelong learner, he has a BA in Political Science from York University, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business, and completed a Certificate in Human Rights for Education Professionals through Osgoode Hall Law School’s professional development program.

Kate Gardner

DIRECTOR, POST SECONDARY PRACTICE LEAD

Kate Gardner has over a decade of expertise in leading inclusive and effective stakeholder engagement and strategic communications campaigns.

Known for her creativity, collaboration, and inclusive leadership style, Kate has demonstrated success in balancing strategic development with tactical execution and operational demands. An impactful and intuitive communicator, Kate excels at crafting meaningful stories that engage, inform, and build relationships. She has earned a reputation for delivering integrated communications strategies that achieve results from her time in government, nonprofits, higher education, and financial services.

Kate has served as a trusted advisor to the President, Executive Team, and Board of Governors at a public college in Ontario. She managed the institution’s reputational risk, provided crisis communications counsel, and liaised with media. Kate worked closely with the Indigenous Services department to support advancing the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s Calls to Action and served on the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Committee.

Her postsecondary journey started at Langara College in British Columbia before transferring to the University of Toronto and graduating with an Honours BA in Political Science and African Studies. She also completed a Graduate Diploma in Social Responsibility & Sustainability from the University of Toronto - St. Michael’s College where she was recognized with the President’s Award for Advancing Social Impact in Community.

Farah Rahemtula

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DEI) CONSULTANT

Farah Rahemtula is an accomplished educator and consultant specializing in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) at School PR Solutions. With nearly 20 years of extensive experience across various educational sectors, including school boards, unions/federations, and universities, Farah is well-positioned to address the complex equity challenges faced by educational institutions.

As an Equity, Anti-Oppression, and Anti-Racism Coach for the Toronto District School Board, Farah developed and facilitated comprehensive train-the-trainer modules on Human Rights, Implicit Bias, and Microaggressions for educators and system leaders. She also led equity and safety audits, and climate assessments to identify and mitigate systemic barriers.

At York University, Farah established and directed multi-series training sessions on Anti-Black Racism and Human Rights for Faculty of Education staff and pre-service students. Her expertise in program evaluation and reporting enables her to design and implement effective diversity and inclusion initiatives, leveraging data to produce evidence-based recommendations. She has developed training manuals and materials to facilitate the practical application of equity policies.

At School PR Solutions, Farah will leverage her extensive background to support educational clients with a focused equity lens. Her dedication to building authentic community relationships and fostering inclusive practices will be essential in advancing clients' DEI objectives and ensuring meaningful engagement with the communities they serve.
